  1. A Stay at the Curio Collection Hotel
Our home base for the weekend was the stunning St. Louis Union Station Hotel – Curio Collection by Hilton. With its grand historic charm, soaring ceilings, and modern comfort, it was the perfect mix of elegance and family-friendly vibes. The kids were obsessed with the light show in the Grand Hall, train station history, and the location meant we were steps from every attraction.

2. St. Louis Aquarium
We started our weekend with a visit to the St. Louis Aquarium. From jellyfish to otters, the exhibits were hands-on and immersive, and the touch tanks were a big hit. It’s the kind of place where learning meets adventure, and even the adults had a blast.

3. The St. Louis Wheel
The 200-foot-tall St. Louis Wheel gave us stunning views of the city skyline, and the climate-controlled gondolas meant we could ride in total comfort. It was the perfect “wow” moment to anchor our evening.

4. Soda Fountain Shenanigans
Lunch turned into dessert when we hit up St. Louis Soda Fountain for their famous Freak Shakes. Each one is a sugary masterpiece stacked with candy, cupcakes, and more. It’s the kind of over-the-top treat that makes your kids’ eyes light up—and honestly, mine too!

5. Breakfast at the Station
Mornings at Union Station started slow and sweet with a delicious breakfast at the on-site restaurant. We fueled up with fresh pastries, hot coffee, and a full menu of kid-friendly options before hitting the day’s adventures.

6. The Train Shed
Dinner was casual yet upscale at The Train Shed, where modern eats and seasonal cocktails gave mom and dad a little something special. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with great service and space for the kids to relax after a full day.

7. All the Extras
From mini golf and the mirror maze to the carousel, selfie express, and ropes course, Union Station has everything you need to keep your crew entertained all weekend long. No need to drive anywhere—it’s all in one place.

Union Station STL is more than just a day trip—it’s a full-blown family adventure, wrapped up in a beautiful historic setting with all the modern perks. Whether you’re planning a quick getaway or celebrating a special weekend, this spot checks every box. We can’t wait to go back!
